F.A Tribunal Sets Odejayi Fee

The Robins must pay their Nationwide Conference neighbours an immediate £5000, with another £5000 payable depending on appearances. Forest Green will be paid £1000 for every 10 appearances Odejayi makes, up to a maximum of 50. Therefore, the most that Cheltenham can pay for him is £10,000. There is also a 25% sell-on clause. (Forest Green will recieve 25% of any transfer fee Cheltenham recieve for Odejayi in the future.)

Robins boss Bobby Gould said that Forest Green had wanted £25,000 immediately, plus another £25,000 in the future. He also said Forest Green wanted a 50% sell-on clause, and that there were other add-ons which could have taken it up to £70,000.

Gould said "I think the decision was fair and we can be pleased considering the subject of Junior Agogo's move to Bristol Rovers was mentioned. That, however, was a very different case as the player was still under contract to Barnet at the time.
