Cheltenham defender Andy Gallinagh has spoken of his delight at securing successive clean sheets which have helped clinch back-to-back league victories. Strikers often attract the headlines with `matchwinning' performances but Town`s defence has stood firm in the face of everything thrown at them to help contribute towards the victories against Northampton and Aldershot. Three of Town`s five wins this season have come when the Gloucestershire outfit have kept their only clean sheets to date - all three coming since Gallinagh was drafted in against Stevenage last month - and the most recent defensive success has certainly pleased the centre-back. "The highlight for me lately has been the clean sheets we have been keeping," he told the club`s official website. "We have had to dig in at times but we`ve managed to keep the door closed in the last two games and, from my point of view, that has been great." Gallinagh himself has impressed at the back since his recall to the side, so much so that he has been named September`s player of the month. "It`s nice to be recognised by the supporters because they are parting with their hard-earned money week in, week out to watch us play," he added. "I really appreciate what they have done for me over the past few years because they have been really supportive. Hopefully I`ll be able to repay them all by keeping up the level of my performances."
