Cheltenham are set to extend the loan of England Under-19 striker Shaun Jeffers after reaching an agreement with Coventry. The 18-year-old, who will feature in the Under-19s' clash with Slovakia on Thursday night, has impressed with two goals from one start and four appearances from the bench since joining on a month-long loan. Robins boss Mark Yates hopes to extend the deal until January when he returns from international duty, although Coventry will retain a 24-hour recall clause. Yates told the club's official website on Thursday morning: "I am going to watch Shaun for the England Under-19s and hopefully we can complete the loan extension tomorrow (Friday). "Shaun has done really well for us since arriving on loan and (Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd) has been pleased that he is playing in a competitive first-team environment. "Shaun will be back with us after the match and will be in the squad for Saturday's game at Barnet."
